I really think a concept like the wrist watch type cell phone / pda your link also shows is the right way to go. As we have more and more of our daily life being controlled using the cell phone, I find it uncomfortable to rely on a small device that you can very easily drop, have stolen or just misplace. The added functionality demands added security also.
