Commercial social media sites have gone through significant changes lately. Due to policy changes, I have closed my accounts both in X and Instagram. I am still using Facebook, Mastodon and BlueSky (search with ‘fransmayra’ in each of them, if you are interested to connect). In sharing my photography, I recently re-opened my old Flickr account (I was active there from 2005 to 2016, previously). I still like the photography-first experience of Flickr much better than those of more general-purpose social media services, but I am hesitant to buy into their “Pro” services, at least for now. I am currently interested in exploring the open, Fediverse options like Pixelfed, that would also integrate with other open services (and with the right plugin, also directly with a website like this one).
