Speaking about horror in tv

Today Inari Uusimäki called me and I agreed to participate in next ‘K-rappu’, a culturally oriented television show in YLE1 channel. I will be talking about horror, possibly also in terms of games, but mostly from a general cultural semiotic perspective, so stay tuned: the show will go live at 19:20 in Tuesday, 19th of February. 1. I didn’t realize this was coming out already, but just happened to be by the telly as it aired.

I think you managed to play the academic specialist quite well. 😉

They didn’t actually give you much slack or time to really let your vivid imagination fly. A pity.

BTW, it seems you’re not getting any younger, either. 😉

  2. Erkki: your earlier comment was stuck in moderation, don’t know why exactly — but you are right: speaking about complex topics in television is always somewhat painful. You need to squeeze everything into snappy sound-bites and you easily just end up confusing everyone (even yourself). But thanks — and yes: we are not getting any younger… 😉
